About Us



BOSCOREE – a quadrennial mammoth gathering of Scouts and Guides from Salesian Institutions from all over India with Don Bosco, the patron saint and Baden Powell, the founder of Scout Movement, as the mentor and inspirational icons.


It was conceived with an idea to bring all Don Bosco Scouts and Guides troops together to experience adventure, service and to celebrate unity in diversity in an atmosphere of learning, loving and with the spirit of comradeship with one goal in mind – to be the agent of better India and a better world is the beauty and the very hallmark of every BOSCOREE.

Boscoree 2022-23

Theme of the 14th National Boscoree 2022-23: “Save Our Planet Home”


The program designed under the theme “Save Our Planet Home” will provide with an opportunity to the young scouts and guides to experience and learning various activities of adventure, skills and discipline with sessions based on this theme to spread the message and to translate the thematic activities into action to contribute their bit in making and sustaining green and clean environment.

  • Inscription "14th NATIONAL BOSCOREE" describes that this Boscoree is the 14th edition.
  • Baden Powell as the Founder of Scouting and Guiding, Don Bosco, the Founder of Salesian Congregation, who practically in a big way promoted Scouting and Guiding in the Salesian world.
  • The globe with hills, trees, stone and sky represent the planet earth that needs our care.
  • The Scout Emblem and the Reef Knot represent the world of scouting and its undertaking to take care of the earth and save it and make it a home where human beings and other living beings find a place to live peacefully.
  • Earth is our home where we are born, grow up, and live our lives to the full. It's our first and only home that sustains our life and growth. There is nowhere else where human beings can survive. It planet earth is our home; we need to care for it, preserve it, respect it, protect it and ensure its future so that the future of human generations are ensured.

  • We are expecting to host 3000 boy scouts and girl guides from 11 Salesian Provinces of India including FMA, MSMHC, SMI and VSDB institutions for this mega event at the eco-friendly green campus of Assam Don Bosco University in Tapesia, Guwahati, Assam.
